The Weed Lady: A Story of Sickness and Photography

15 November 2015

Yesterday, a Saturday, I went to work, as usual. I didn't feel well, but I worked my 9-1 shift before my mother picked me up and took me back home. There was only 4 employees there, including myself. For the most part, I pulled charts, but I briefly scheduled new patient appointments. As I mentioned, I didn't feel well, so I after I got home I took some medicine. I really wanted to sleep, so I took some NyQuil, even though it was only 1:45. On this same day, Lola, Jacki and Nick's second daughter, was having her 1st birthday party. I did not go, because of the medicine that I took. After the party, which my parents and sister attended, I was supposed to babysit my sister while my parents went to the local corner bar and watch the Michigan football game. This also didn't happen, as I was still asleep. I don't remember when I did actually wake up, but it was dark outside (so sometime after 5 or 6). I woke up, ate some food, then went back to sleep.

This morning I woke up feeling somewhat better, but my throat was still sore and I had a runny nose. I stayed in my room for a while after waking up, just doing things on my phone. When I went downstairs, which was around noon, my mom informed me that I had won something at a Ladies Night we went to in Fenton two nights before. She then informed me that her and my aunt Teri where going to The Weed Lady, a local florist, who was having an open house event. She asked me if I wanted to join her, but I didn't really feel like going. Later that day, perhaps around 2, she informed me that my grandma was also joining them, along with my sister. It was then that I decided to join them. The photography:
